Working out your butt is  not as easier as it sounds and look, especially for women, because the hips and upper legs are common areas for body fat storage, which  makes it tough to see the muscle you might be developing. “And when results come slowly, many of us feel our efforts are not paying off.”


We know that Squats do shape your butt and makes the glute muscle stronger!, but for some ladies, it looks like the squatting exercise isn't paying off because the effect it should perform on their butt is not visible. It might be that you have been doing it wrongly and not also paying attention to the diet necessary for it to be effective.

In this post, I have stated some possible reasons why your squats hasn't been increasing your butt size and giving your desired butt shape.

Here Are The Possible Reasons Below:

1. IT'S EITHER YOU OVERWORK YOURSELF, OR YOU DO NOT WORK ENOUGH

If we were to be real honest to ourselves, some of us do not carry out the exercise in its fullness and we expect to get results in as little as a month. We do not work the body enough. While some of us overwork ourselves to the extent we stress our glute muscles. Having enough rest helps the muscles expand rather than constrict.

Many people do not seek to know the rudiments and basics of  squats before venturing into the practice and most times they end up building their quads(muscles that make up the thighs) while their glutes (muscles which make up the buttocks) end up non affected. Certain moves that we often associate with the glutes actually recruit other large lower-body muscles (namely the quadriceps) to do most of the work. This tends to be the case with basic
body-weight squats and leg presses.

3.  TRY OTHER EXERCISES ASIDES SQUATS

Don't just do butt exercises on a one way ride, you could engage in other activities like  walking or sprinting. "Walking forces you into a longer stride, which gives you the opportunity to access your glutes better.

Sprinting requires your knees to lift higher, which also fires up the glutes. NOTE sprinting, not steady running. Or you could do a step stride everyday. As Pasternak puts it ". "I think stairs are just the most underrated glute blaster there is".


4. DON'T SIT FOR TOO LONG

Sitting for long especially on hard surfaces actually deflates the butt. The muscles adapts to the postures we subject them to and the butt muscles are no exception. We actually put our body weights on our butts when we sit and this subjects it to flattening and postural adaptations.

As David Reavey a physical therapist puts it "Sitting also shortens and tightens the hip flexors, which impacts our ability to really activate both our glutes and core even when we're not seated,".
Instead of sitting for  long, you could do the Hip-flexor release, where you Lay on your stomach and put a lacrosse ball under your psoas.

Allow your bodyweight to release onto the ball as much as possible without pain and lay until you feel your hip flexor relax. You could also engage in the hip thrust.


5. EAT WELL.

EAT WELL.



In order to achieve your goal of having a considerable bosom, you need to stick to basics too. Don't just work yourself out paying attention to the external and not consider the internal. Some people pay little or no attention at all to this, gulping down junk foods to the latter.

Eating the right food is one basic, people miss. One must have a routinary  diet with which to follow. One's diet should be mainly centered around proteins as they contain the necessary amino acids needed for tissue and muscle building.

Minimal calories around 35% at least, should be added to your protein diet too as they build work towards pushing butt muscles. Remember this “All the exercise in the world doesn’t matter if you don’t eat well,”.
