APC cancels Zamfara State governorship primaries


The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has affirmed the undoing of the Zamfara State governorship primaries. The gathering in an announcement by its acting national exposure secretary, Yekini Nabena, early Thursday morning did not give another date for the primaries but rather guaranteed another date will be "discharged as quickly as time permits".

"The Party's National Working Committee (NWC) has endorsed the crossing out of the (Zamfara) governorship primaries. Another date will be declared soonest." The essential which was rescheduled a few times neglected to hold because recently landing of the race board from the national base camp in Abuja.

It was before rescheduled for October 1 however was again defaced by brutality. An exasperated state governorship essential panel then dropped the decision. Senator Abdulaziz Yari had said the governorship primaries in the state would be suspended inconclusively except if the gathering's national advisory group "pursued the reported rules for the direct of activity."

The statement reads; “The Prof. Abubakar Faki-led All Progressives Congress (APC) Zamfara State Governorship Primaries Committee has announced the cancellation of the primaries held in the state due to election malpractices including snatching of election materials and result sheets by the state government officials which were taken to the Government House, Gusau,”
