Governor Fayemi debunks rumors of him receiving N30 billion from Federal Government

In a statement released, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state on Tuesday, October 23, denied accepting N30 billion from the Federal Government after his introduction.

An announcement by the central press secretary to the senator, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, cited Fayemi as saying that the general population of the state should disapprove the talk as it was phony and unwarranted.

He said his organization has not gotten any cash from the Federal Government or any of its offices since its initiation.

Part of the statement read: “As a responsible government that believes in accountability and transparency, this government will always provide correct information to the people on all its transactions and will not hide anything from the people.

“Members of the public are thereby assured of regular briefings on the state of finances and developments in the state

“The era of government by deceit and falsehood has ended on October 15. The present administration is focused on meeting its obligations to workers, pensioners, and the general public.”

The senator said that his organization would not be diverted by unjustifiable bits of gossip in the release of its obligations to the general population of the state.

In the interim, the bad habit presidential applicant of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Subside Obi has denounced the present high obligation profile which the present government organization of President Mohammadu Buhari dove the nation into.

He said it was very disastrous that Nigeria was owing $30 billion some time back and the loan bosses dropped the obligations for the country to advance, bemoaning that now the Buhari's administration has dove the nation into a more profound obligation profile to the tune of $80 billion.

The previous legislative head of Anambra state additionally said the issue means that the country is falling.
